Global Rail Services Ltd is part of the Global Infrastructure Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission services for clients across a wide range of engineering and infrastructure sectors including mainline railway systems, light rail and utilities. General contracting and building work, including private housing developments, commercial and industrial building, is also offered by GRSL – as a separate division.

The company is a principal framework contractor across a number of disciplines, which include civil and structural engineering incorporating maintenance and renewal, building, mechanical, electrical and power, permanent way, telecoms and train on-board support services and provides a full test and commission service, for both Irish mainline and light rail applications.

We are currently seeking General Operatives with experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in rail and construction, for immediate full time vacancies in the Drogheda and Leinster areas.

Applicants should have the following:

• Experience in a similar role preferably with a background in rail and construction – pipe laying, groundworks, shuttering, steel fixing, concrete works
• Valid Safe Pass
• Valid Manual Handling certificate
• Valid Irish Rail Personal Track Safety (PTS) advantageous
• LGV/HGV (C1E/CE) Licence advantageous
• First Aid Response advantageous
• Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines as per set out
• Ability to work in a team environment
• A good track record, including references
