QSE/Training Administrator

Global Rail Services Ltd is part of the Global Infrastructure Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission services for clients across a wide range of engineering and infrastructure sectors including mainline railway systems, light rail and utilities. General contracting and building work, including private housing developments, commercial and industrial building, is also offered by GRSL – as a separate division.

The company is a principal framework contractor across a number of disciplines, which include civil and structural engineering incorporating maintenance and renewal, building, mechanical, electrical and power, permanent way, telecoms and train on-board support services and provides a full test and commission service, for both Irish mainline and light rail applications.

We are currently seeking an experienced QSE/Training Administrator for our office based in Rathcoole, Co Dublin. The individual will be responsible for managing and delivering staff training, assisting the H&S Manager with daily tasks, working closely with all departments of the company and maintaining ISO standards 9001,14001 & 45001.

Roles & Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing Health & Safety support for various departments within the company
  • Applying for and updating Permits to Work
  • Scheduling and delivering training in accordance with requirements
  • Maintaining staff training records and training matrix
  • Updating and maintaining document registers relevant to the QSE team
  • Undertaking risk assessments where necessary to a set standard
  • Co-ordinating health and safety site audits and inspections
  • Maintaining & updating online training and monitoring databases
  • Preparing reports and presentations for management team
  • Providing support to H&S Manager

Successful applicants will have the following: 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Impeccable time keeping
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise work while fulfil company goals
  • A Health and Safety qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential
