Global Rail Services Ltd is part of the RSK Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission civil engineering and building services installations for mainline and metro rail systems companies, utilities providers and commercial and private development clients.

We currently have a full-time role for a Senior Engineer/Site Engineer with 2+ years Site Engineering experience to join our successful contracting business. The role is based in Dublin with works in the surrounding areas as current contracts require.

Salary package offered will depend on experience and include a company vehicle or an allowance, with a company phone and laptop provided.

Roles and responsibilities will include the following:

• Setting out according to design drawings
• Supervising sub-contractors and site operatives
• Completing as-built surveys
• Liaising with consultants and commercial management teams
• Liaising with pre-construction teams and conducting site visits
• Disseminating information from drawings and specifications to the team
• Checking plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate
• Ordering materials, ensuring compliance with the specification
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the required high standard
• Recording and reporting work progress
• Updating site diaries and documentation

Successful applicants will have the following:

• A third level Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent
• 2 + years Site Engineering experience (beneficial)
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD (beneficial)
• Proficiency in all MS package
• Prior rail experience is desirable but not necessary
