Global Rail Services Ltd is part of the RSK Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission civil engineering and building services installations for mainline and metro rail systems companies, utilities providers and commercial and private development clients.

We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor/Person in Charge of Works with 2+ years site experience working on ESB trenching and ducting works.

Salary package offered will depend on experience and include a company vehicle or an allowance, with a company phone and laptop provided.

Roles and responsibilities will include the following:

• Supervising sub-contractors and site operatives
• Completing site briefings, Tool Box talks, daily allocation sheets
• Completing As-built record forms as per the purple book
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors and site operatives
• Understanding and being responsible for T2 licences and traffic management
• Liaising with pre-construction team, conducting site visits
• Disseminating information from drawings, specifications, etc. to operatives and subcontractors, so that they clearly understand what is required
• Checking plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate
• Ordering materials
• Planning and executing works safely
• Making sure the materials used are as specified in the contract
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the required high standard
• Recording and reporting on work progress
• Updating site diary and site documentation

Successful applicants will have the following:

• ESBN qualified
• Roar Course advance level qualified
• Managing safety in construction (preferable)
• Proficiency in all MS packages and use of tablet
• Utilities experience working on street works urban and national roads
