Tender Administrator

Global Rail Services is part of the Global Infrastructure Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission services for clients across a wide range of engineering and infrastructure sectors including mainline railway systems, light rail and utilities. General contracting and building work, including private housing developments, commercial and industrial building, is also offered by GRSL – as a separate division.

The company is a principal framework contractor across a number of disciplines, which include civil and structural engineering incorporating maintenance and renewal, building, mechanical, electrical and power, permanent way, telecoms and train on-board support services and provides a full test and commission service, for both Irish mainline and light rail applications.

We are currently seeking a Tender Administrator to carry out duties in relation to tender submissions. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Review and registration of tender invitations/requests
  • Updating tender register
  • Preparation of tender documentation – method statements and tender programmes
  • Submission of tenders
  • Issuing supplier enquiries/RFQs
  • Control and implementation of company documentation
  • Support for Senior Management
  • Client liaison
  • Administration support for live projects
  • Provide additional support as required to meet needs of the business

Successful applicants will have the following:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the construction industry desirable
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and MS Project
  • Knowledge of eTenders Procurement Website an advantage
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent team working skills
